SRINAGAR: A 22-year-old girl from Bhimavaram, who went missing from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, six months ago, was traced along with her boyfriend in Jammu and Kashmir, The Hindu reported.
The girl’s mother met with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan in Vijayawada three days earlier, alleging that her daughter had been kidnapped by a teenager.
In response to her appeal, the Central Zone Police formed special teams that visited Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and other places.
Finally, Cybercrime and Machavaram police tracked the girl and her boyfriend in Jammu and took them into custody. “The boy and the girl, who are pursuing a hotel management programme in a private college in Vijayawada, were missing since October last year. They travelled to Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kerala, Sholapur, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Ajmer before reaching Jammu. They had been living in Jammu since then. The boy was working as a chef in a hotel, and they had changed their SIM cards and phones,” the Police Commissioner told The Hindu.
Furthermore, the police team has been instructed to bring the girl and her boyfriend to Vijayawada.
