SRINAGAR: Forward of the Lok Sabha polls, Union Property Minister Amit Shah and senior Congress chief Sachin Pilot are gearing up to handle gatherings in Jammu and Kathua on Tuesday.
Amit Shah is scheduled to converse at the Manhas Biradari Ground near Paloura, rallying help for BJP candidates Dr Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore Sharma, contesting from Udhampur and Jammu Parliamentary constituencies, respectively.
Meanwhile, Sachin Pilot will deal with rallies in Kathua in assist of Congress candidates, like Choudhary Lal Singh for the Udhampur constituency and Raman Bhalla for the Jammu Lok Sabha seat.
As the original stage of campaigning attracts to a shut, these rallies carry sizeable strategic worth, especially in fiercely contested constituencies like Udhampur and Jammu.
In Udhampur, the struggle is mostly amongst Union Minister Jitendra Singh and Congress’ Choudhary Lal Singh, with other candidates also vying for attention. The constituency heads to the polls on April 19.
Likewise, in Jammu, the major contest is between BJP’s Jugal Kishore and Congress’ Raman Bhalla, with other events also in the fray. This constituency is distribute above four districts and is scheduled for elections in the 2nd phase on April 26, 2024.
