MORE than 100 congressmen joined House Speaker Martin Romualdez in Tagum City, Davao del Norte to distribute aid such as rice, cash, and scholarships.
It was learned that more than half of the 308 congressmen or 167 legislators went to Davao.
Aside from the cash and rice distribution, Speaker Romualdez also distributed, under the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, scholarships and business investment.
Thousands of Dabawenyos benefited from this program of the Marcos Administration.
For his part, Acting Davao del Norte Gov. De Carlo Uy said he is very grateful to Speaker Romualdez for the government service and help he provided.
Salamat Speaker Romualdez,” according to the governor.
