THE Act Agri- Kaagapay organization spearheaded the distribution of hundreds of relief goods to provide aid to fire-affected families in Tondo, Manila.
Civic leader and philanthropist Virginia Ledesma Rodriguez led the Act Agri-Kaagapay in giving the relief packs to more than 600 families affected by the three-hour fire that destroyed at least 100 houses along Coral St, Tondo Manila on June 17,2024.
Each family received groceries, bottled water, meals and medicines.
During the distribution of relief goods, Rodriguez thanked local residents, the Bureau of Fire Protection and various fire volunteer brigades for their immediate response to help put out the fire.
Rodriguez, founder and president of Act Agri-Kaagapay organization, is coordinating with the local government officials and the National Housing Authority to assess the needs of the families who may qualify for housing assistance.
She also vowed to provide livelihood assistance to affected families to help them recover from the present predicament brought by the fire.
